Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready celebrated a half-century lived with a massive blowout in Seattle over the weekend that included appearances from his bandmate Eddie Vedder, Cheap Trick and Soundgarden's Kim Thayil.

In fact, Cheap Trick performed at McCready’s 50th birthday party, and the Pearl Jam guitarist and Vedder eventually joined the band on stage to play “I Want You to Want Me.” You can check out a brief, fan-shot clip of that performance, plus a host of photos from the night, at the bottom of the page.

It's only a matter of days before Pearl Jam launch their North American tour in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. It's set to wrap up with a two-night stadium at Vedder's beloved Wrigley Field in Chicago on Aug. 20 and 22. The band is also working on their highly anticipated follow-up to 2013's Lightning Bolt. Bassist Jeff Ament recently said the band is excited and inspired to get back in the studio.
