Temple of the Dog fans have been given their second sneak peek at the upcoming 25th anniversary expanded reissue of the group's album, in the form of the previously unreleased demo "Angel of Fire."

"Fire" is one of two tracks that have remained in the vault since missing the cut for the original Temple of the Dog LP; the other, "Black Cat," was posted last month. Those songs, along with a remaster of the album and an assortment of outtakes and live material, will be part of the package when the reissue arrives in stores on Sept. 30.

In addition to revisiting the record, Temple of the Dog will head out on tour this fall — something they never had the luxury of doing the first time around, since the members of the group were all tied up with their gigs in Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Although just a handful of dates are scheduled at present, there's a chance we could hear more from the group at some point in the future.

"I really hope so, I’d love to. I’m there," guitarist Mike McCready said in response to the question of new material. "If anybody wants to start writing for Temple of the Dog, I will be there to play guitar if they want me. We’re very busy with our band right now and Chris [Cornell] has been on such a long tour, so he’s been very busy. So in terms of timing, who knows, But I hope we can do new songs."
