Listen to Pearl Jam Fan Band’s ‘Prediction’ Version of ‘Superblood Wolfmoon’
The London-based group is led by film and TV composer Francesco D’Andrea, who has music credits on shows including Mad Men, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Bones and more.
“Black Market Aftermath took the snippet of ‘Superblood Wolfmoon’ by Pearl Jam, and built a full rock song around it, two days before the official single by Pearl Jam is released,” D’Andrea told UCR. “The song could be seen as an hybrid between a cover and a ‘prediction.’”

He launched the band in 2015 after publishing an appeal for like-minded musicians who wanted to play an equal role in writing. “PJ came into my life in 2001, in 2006 I met Eddie Vedder,” he explained in a forum posting. “My life was heavily influenced by PJ music. One of the consequences is that nowadays I'm a professional film and TV composer.”
The official version of “Superblood Wolfmoon” – the third track to appear from upcoming album Gigaton – will arrive on Feb. 19 following the teaser launch, which was revealed via an app that responded when a smartphone camera was pointed at the moon. “Engaging Pearl Jam fans to go outside and experience the moon in an exciting way is a testament to the innovative spirit the band brings to music,” said Republic Records’ Bill Gerdts. “This project encompasses Pearl Jam’s desire to engage with their fans and provide a visual representation of what is to come in their new single 'Superblood Wolfmoon,' and later, in the Gigaton album.”
